Article marketing is a tried and true way to promote websites online.
How does article marketing work? First, you can simply write articles related to the website, service or product that you want to promote. Then, you include a link in the article back to the website you want to promote. Then, you publish the article on other websites.
Where do you publish the articles? There are article directories that accept articles from almost anybody about almost anything. You can also make arrangements with other webmasters to post your article on their website.
Let me give you some tips for writing internet marketing articles.
Be clear and concise. Most internet browsers and readers are not interested in reading elaborate, stylish articles. They are not literature professors who want to be impressed by long-winded uses of the written word. They want to skim through articles to get the information they want.
Make your paragraphs short. Most readers probably will not read your whole article. They will skim through it and read the parts that they believe will most interest them or most pertain to them. Long paragraphs are harder to skim through and can be intimidating to many internet users.
Proof-read your articles. Get rid of all the spelling and grammar errors, and make sure your articles are clear and easy to read.
Do not make the article too long. I have found that articles between 300 and 600 words work best for me. I believe an article much longer than 1000 words will be too long for many internet browsers. They will likely X out of the page before they even get the chance to go to your website. If you can write a great article that’s thousands of words long, consider putting it on your own website or breaking it down into several different articles.
